MACON, Ga. — The McEachern Art Center (MAC) has opened its 2026 Summer Art Exhibition, bringing together the work of eight artists whose practices span a wide range of materials, processes and conceptual approaches. The exhibition opened June 5 and will remain on view through July 19.
Featuring artists Jenni Horne, Isabel Neely, Wendy DesChene, Reed Gallo, Meredith Ochoa, Craig Coleman, Jeff Schmuki and Hannah Mock, the exhibition highlights the role of experimentation in contemporary art-making. While varied in form and subject matter, the works share an interest in process, examining how artists at different stages of their careers test boundaries, refine methods and engage with materials in distinct, yet interconnected ways.
Visitors will encounter a diverse collection of work that reflects the breadth of contemporary artistic practice, offering multiple perspectives on making and creative inquiry.
“I’m so excited for this show,” said Johnny Cohen, director of the MAC. “We’re featuring eight incredible artists, each bringing a completely different style and perspective. It’s an amazing mix of talent, creativity and energy, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience the wide range of work being showcased.”
