Seniors reflect on college in ‘Letter to My High School Self’

Three graduating seniors — Tucker Buffington, Emily Harvey and Donald Williams — each reflect on their experiences as a Mercer Bear in a “Letter to My High School Self.”

Tucker Buffington

Major: Biology and Spanish

Involvement: Mercer Ambassador, Mercer Service Scholar, Peer Advisor, Student Admissions Team, Undergraduate Research, Wesley of Macon

Plans after graduation: I will be taking a gap year to work and volunteer in the medical field and get some hands-on experience before attending PA School in the future!

Emily Harvey

Major: Journalism and Law and Public Policy

Involvement: Green Coalition, Peer Advisor, Sorority member, Student Admissions Team, Student Government Association

Plans after graduation: I plan to gain work experience for a year before I start law school next fall.

Donald Williams

Major: International Business and Economics

Involvement: Benjamin A. Gilman Scholar, Charles B. Rangel Scholar, Delta Sigma Pi (business honor society), Fund for Education Abroad Scholar, Recipient of the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, Residence Hall Association

Plans after graduation: I plan to begin graduate school at The George Washington University this fall, where I will pursue a Master of Arts in International Economic Policy.
