MACON, Ga. — McEachern Art Center (the MAC) is bringing back the Winter Artist Market, a popular holiday program. The market will take place on the first weekend of December at the peak of holiday shopping season on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is the third annual community artist market held at the MAC, opening the gallery to vendors in Macon and surrounding local cities to both fine artists and crafters looking to sell their goods for the holiday season.

More than 25 different vendors will be at the Market selling décor, art, vintage goodies, and more. The MAC gives all sales 100% to the artist and takes no commission, a unique structure that makes art collecting more affordable for patrons and helps artists thrive.

“We can’t wait to host the third annual Winter Artist Market this year,” MAC Director Johnny Cohen said.

Cohen said that last year had more than 25 vendors.

“We feel that showcasing a variety of work like this brings excitement to the Macon community.”

Cohen hopes that community members find seasonal joy in shopping locally and supporting local artists.

Operated by Mercer University, the MAC is located at 332 2nd Street in downtown Macon and is a place to contemplate art with care. Following the Winter Artist Market, a new gallery exhibition featuring the archives of Ric Geyer will open on December 6. Find out more at macmacon.com.
