The second annual Teaching and Learning with Technology Summer Faculty Institute was held May 12-16 on the Macon campus.
MACON- Mercer University's Political Science Department will host a free public debate on foreign policy Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. in the McCorkle Music Building, Neva Langley Fickling Hall.   This is part of a nationwide event called  "The People Speak: America Debates Its Role in the World," in which thousands of debates will take place in hundreds of locations across the country between Oct. 5th and 18th. ATLANTA - When the 145 members of Mercer University's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Class of 2010 receive their white coats at the College's annual White Coat Ceremony on Aug. 17, they will see newly-designed logo patches to reflect the College's new name. Approximately 570 pharmacy students will be wearing the logos on their coats in more than 175 locations in the metro Atlanta area as they participate in their practice experiences.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The National Middle School Association, the nation's largest organization focused solely on middle grades education, welcomes Mercer University's Dr. Karen Weller Swanson as the next editor of Research in Middle Level Education Online. MACON - Noted James Madison scholar Dr. Colleen Sheehan of Villanova University will deliver the undergraduate Constitution Day Lecture at Mercer University on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Fickling Hall of the McCorkle Music Building. Mercer's Center for the Teaching of America's Western Foundations is hosting the lecture, titled "James Madison on Citizenship and Statesmanship," which is sponsored by the Jack Miller Center.
