MACON, GA- Six student delegates from Mercer University's student programming board, QuadWorks, attended the 2004 National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) South Regional Conference in Winston-Salem, N.C. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and in order to help women become aware and find breast cancer in its early stages, the Mercer University School of Medicine's will provide several breast health awareness seminars to women living in Central Georgia. Breast cancer has been increasing at an alarming rate with current estimates indicating that 1-in-8 women will develop breast cancer during their lifetimes. It is the leading cause of death of American women between the ages of 40 and 55.
MACON - Undergraduates at Mercer University's Macon campus will showcase what they've learned this year at a series of events over the coming week. Engineering students will present their projects and compete in colorful vehicle competitions at the Third Annual Engineering Expo at the University Center Arena on April 16. Meanwhile, students will also talk about their research projects at the Fourth Annual Mercer Undergraduate Research Symposium in Heritage Hall in the UC.
